MIIA STÅHLE (FINALND)
PhD Researcher Miia Ståhle is a licensed social worker and a special welfare services social worker. In her doctoral research, Ståhle examines the history and development of Finnish health social work as a part of the development of the Nordic welfare state and service system. She has worked over 20 years as a health social worker and as a leading social worker in healthcare. Now Ståhle is working as a development manager in the project of mental health of children and families.
Session Overview: International Health & Mental Health Panel - The Intersection of Health and Mental Health: Global Perspectives
An opportunity has emerged for global thought leaders to share their experiences on how public health can help prevent diseases and how integrating social work care into healthcare can help reduce the stigmatization of mental health patients. The panel will also explore the relationship between people living with chronic health conditions and their mental health needs.
